Keystone School

This 600 sq.yds school is located in PECHS. It is a G+1 with project with a basement having around a total of 20 classrooms in basement and first floor. The basement also hosts a swimming pool and is worked out in such a way that it is surrounded by voids created on ground floor to allow ample amount light and ventilation. The ground floor zones public activities including admin block, library, visitors area and labs whereas the first floor is reserved strictly for classrooms. The main entrance opens into main lobby facing the staircase, makes the circulation very clear and easy. This rectangular plan allows natural ventilation in every room and classroom on every floor through and through.

This building is a living example of symmetrical piece. The central protruded entrance is flanked by windows on both sides. The horizontality of the building is broken by the vertical imprint of these windows. The very impactful geometry of the façade is simplified by the color scheme harmonizing with the building.
