The Peak is known for its expertise through innovative design, structure and implementation of fresh new ideas. This 900 sq.yds proposal is exclusively for DHA City Karachi which consists of a basement + G+12 storeys mixed use medium rise project. While the basement, ground and first floor are reserved for the commercial use, the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floor comprises parking and the remaining floors are apartment floors with each floor having 9 apartments totalling to 72 apartments overall.
Very unique and to be a first of its kind in DHA City, the commercial activity on the first three floors will include exclusive mall and retail stores, making it the hub for enterprise, investment and profit. The 3 floors of parking will cater to the people not only living there but also for the ones doing business there causing less traffic issues and easy access. The 8 apartment floors each have an extravagant lobby accessed by the main staircases, 2 lifts, a cargo lift and an emergency staircase as well. This lobby opens into a long end to end corridor leading to 9 apartments opposite to each other while each having two-bedrooms, a lounge, a kitchen and a drawing room. All apartments are smartly planned having proper ventilation and are well lit. Both the bedrooms have access to balconies making it an added advantage and feasible living space for the inhabitants.
We envision a sustainable approach for DHA City through smart design and advanced technology implementation such as solar panels, energy efficient material consumption, green roof, proper insulation and water saving fixtures for longer life span of the building.
The architecture of the building in itself will call for the public attention, with grand heights provisioned for the commercial purpose. It shows use of simple materials on the exterior (glass and concrete/plaster) with basic colors of gray, gold and white. The blend of the modern use of materials and colors with the neoclassical architectural elements such as the intricate railing design, columns and the pitched roof in bold colors compliments the function of the building being a mixed use medium rise. The symmetry, proportion and strong form of the design emphasizes on the facade of the building, making it an eye-catching piece of architecture.
